Do you long to escape for a while from the pressures of daily life, have you thought of spending time in a quiet corner of south-west France enjoying the sunshine, swimming, reading a book in the shade, walking in glorious countryside? If so, this is the place for you!
To give you some idea of our home, let us guide you along a country road to our winding lane leading up to our 3 hectares of land. At first, everything is so green that you have to ask – where is the house! Carry on for a hundred yards and you’ll see our vegetable garden and orchard on the left and a big field on the right with our llamas, donkeys and sheep grazing contentedly. Take the right fork to see the roof of our ‘little chateau’. Here, cast your eyes over the swimming pool and the old well. Turn to your left and up on the right you’ll see your gite in amongst the oak trees. Park in front of the steps and walk past the covered area with the old bread oven where it is very pleasant to spend time on a hot summer evening. On our terrace, we look forward to meeting you over a cup of coffee or glass of good Cahors wine.
Then, you will be keen to see your temporary home. First there is the veranda and enclosed area (ideal in the unlikely event of poor weather), from where you enter your living room with the fully-equipped corner kitchen/ diner. You will find a TV, stereo system and books for your added pleasure. On the first floor there are 2 twin rooms and a shower-room with basin, shower and separate toilet. Outside, you have your own barbecue, the swimming pool (for your sole use along with the owners), boules court and badminton. For the little ones, there is a swing and an amazing tree-house! You’re unlikely to have time to use all this, there is so much to see round about: bastide towns dating from the Middle Ages, lovely old Roman churches, museums, concerts, sporting events and routes for all the walks, boat and bike rides you could want.
